A Bit About Me
Curiosity. Empathy. Authenticity. Integrity. These are the adjectives consistently highlighted by clients and colleagues throughout my career. They are also the cornerstones for being a trusted advisor.
From being a quota carrying sales person conducting door to door cold calls, to working with the CEO and Executive team of a Fortune 50 company navigating a customer crisis, serving people by intersecting their needs with a business objective has been at the core of my work. My undergraduate years were spent at St Lawrence University and included a transformational semester in Kenya with the Kikuyu, Maasai and Samburu. And I also opted to invest in a business education and obtained my MBA from Columbia Business School. This further expanded my global network and perspective. Traveling and learning from uncomfortable and challenging experiences continues as a personal and professional interest.
Work Experience
Management & SME- 8 years
Customer Advocacy and Client Experience. Consulting with a diverse range of global clients to build and leverage community approaches in order to stay close to their customers, honed an expertise in connection. Surfacing themes and shared challenges was the basis for bringing executives together to share and learn from one another. Adding value and strengthening relationships by listening and initiating recommendations with peers, executives and partners becomes second nature. Contending with complex and challenging situations also earned me the nickname "The Client Whisperer".
Product management and performance marketing roles provided experience with digital and data driven approaches while also managing and mentoring others to embrace the value of these evolving capabilities. Direct marketing, data and CRM technologies were leveraged to deliver results through testing, measurement and creative execution. Integration- delivering more impact without more resources- was a frequent solve for ensuring marketing worked harder. Collaboration across functional areas, especially development, support, sales, and partnerships added to the skills.
Community & Engagement -10 years and counting
The Foundation- 6 years
Sales and Business Development was where my professional journey began. Being accountable to a monthly quota, listening for possibilities and positioning solutions that were relevant for each unique situation were part of the everyday. And it worked - as I consistently exceeded goals. This also instilled the value of trusted relationships and an appreciation for effective leads and marketing support.
